Get Licensed
Are you studying for your builders exam? The advice that I would give you would be to find a study group, get a math tutor and take a practice exam that has very similar questions to the real exam.
This all sounds like a lot of work but a local group called KCDC made it easy! They provide a Core60 program to get you the initial 60 hours, they provide study groups and math tutors to help you better understand the content, and they have developed a practice exam that has been complied from the notes of members that have passed the exam.
There’s literally no excuse! You can get the
study group
math tutor
practice exam
all in one place!
Skilled trades Training
Once a month, the Carter Crew will open up a jobsite and host a public training. This will consist of basic instruction and demonstration, as well as some hands-on learning. The trade that we learn for that month will depend on what that project requires and what stage it is in. Anyone is welcome to come and participate, whether you have years of experience or aren’t quite sure what a hammer is!
The goal of this training is to open the community up to the potential careers in the skilled trades and even show homeowners how to maintain their own home. At Carter, we are very invested in the community and the people we serve and this is our chance to make a difference.
Let us know if you would like your home or remodel project to be considered for a training class by reaching out to our Contact Us page and check back here for updates on the class of the month.
Monthly Training
Hours: Every Second Saturday in 2025
Location: The training is always held on an active jobsite so the location changes each month. Check the most up to date flyer which will be posted on this page at least 1 week in advance.
